Boarding / Daycare

In addition to medical, dental, and surgical care, The Pet Doctor offers safe and secure boarding and day care services with veterinary supervision and individualized attention. We want your pets to be healthy, happy, and comfortable when they board with us, so we treat them as if they were our own. If you live in Theodore, Mobile, Grand Bay, Saraland, or another nearby community, and you need a home away from home for your four-legged friends, bring your babies to us, and we’ll take good care of them for you.

At The Pet Doctor, we offer clean, climate controlled boarding facilities that accommodate both dogs and cats. We maintain separate areas for our canine and feline friends to ensure a stress-free stay for all visitors. Large and small dogs are accommodated with spacious indoor kennels complete with bedding. Dogs are walked a number of times a day so they can attend to business and have outdoor time in our backyard area. Every feline lodger has a roomy kennel supplied with a bed, litter box, and scratching post. Our feline friends receive individualized attention several times a day from our staff. Pet owners are welcome to bring beds, blankets and treats from home if it will make your pet more comfortable.

We feed all of our guests Hill’s Science Diet, unless you provide your pet’s own food from home. If your pet needs a special diet for a condition related to urinary or diabetic health, for example, owners are required to bring it from home. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each canine and feline guest, and our veterinarians will be alerted if any problems are noted.

Bathing

After an extended stay, to ensure that your pet goes home fresh and clean, we recommend a bath. We offer separate bathing services that you may want to take advantage of while your pet is staying with us. Please let us know if you care to have your pet bathed when you make your boarding reservation.

Daycare

The Pet Doctor is pleased to offer pet daycare to our working pet parents so there is no need to leave your pet home alone all day. Your dog or cat will be cared for in a clean, comfortable and veterinary-supervised environment. Dogs will be taken out to play in our backyard area several times a day.

All boarding and daycare guests must be current on vaccines and free from parasites for their own protection and for the safety of other boarders and patients.

Boarding Drop-Off and Pick-up Times:

Boarding Drop off times are before 4 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Pick-up times are by 10:00 a.m. or before.
On weekends, pick-ups need to be arranged by appointment.
