Kristen H., Clinic Manager
I joined The Pet Doctor in 2016 after my family and I moved back to Mobile from San Diego. Although I had no previous experience in veterinary medicine, I quickly discovered a passion for caring for animals and helping the people who love them. I started as a veterinary assistant and, through years of learning and growing with our team, now serve as the Practice Manager.
My favorite areas of veterinary medicine are surgery and ultrasound. Outside of work I have a zoo. At the moment I have three dogs and seven cats, most of them found their way to me because they needed a second chance. I have a special place in my heart for the hurt abandoned and broken. It's been incredibly rewarding to give them the love and care they deserve.
When I'm not at the clinic, you'll usually find me in my garden or taking care of my ever-growing collection of plants. I've also been married for 20 years and have two wonderful children-one is attending Auburn University, and the other is starting at The University of Mobile this year.
Kathy H., Lead Assistant/Assistant Manager
Most people call me Kat. I have been a proud member of The Pet Doctor Team since 2018. I have had a love for animals for as I can remember, which made a career working with pets a natural fit for me.
At home, I stay busy with my husband, our three children, five dogs and two cats. When I'm not at eh clinic, you can usually fine me cheering on my kids and watching my daughter cheer on the football team.
I truly enjoy building relationships with our clients and providing compassionate care to every pet as if they were my own.
Carissa R., Vet Assistant
My name is Carissa, I'm 19 years old and currently a student at University of Mobile, where I'm pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My love for animals has always been a huge part of my life and is what sparked my passion for science and caring for others. I enjoy learning about animal health love being able to help care for pets who can't speak for themselves. Being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of animals and their families is incredibly rewarding, and I'm excited to continue growing and learning every day.
Kylie H., Vet Assistant
Growing up around the clinic, Kylie started by helping her mom whenever an extra set of hands was needed. What began as lending a hand soon turned into a genuine love for working with animals and being a part of our clinic family. A 2026 graduate of MGM High School, she will attend the University of Mobile this fall on a bowling scholarship. She enjoys getting to know our clients and their pets and is excited to continue growing both in the clinic and at college.
Alanna K., Vet Assistant
Alanna brings previous veterinary experience and a genuine passion for animals care to our team. As the proud mom of two young children, she loves spending time with her babies and her many pets when she's not at the clinic. In her free time, she also enjoys dancing. Alanna's caring nature, experience, and love for both people and animals make her a wonderful part of our clinic family.
Katrina H., Vet Assistant
Although Katrina is new to the veterinary field, she has quickly become a valued member of our team thanks to her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. She is the proud mom of two beautiful daughters-one who is a senior in high school and another who is getting married next year. Outside of the clinic, Katrina enjoys working alongside her mom flipping houses. Her dedication, upbeat personality, and compassion make her a wonderful part of our clinic family.
